Our Story

The Art Positive program began in 1988 under the "art enrichment program." At this time there was a cut in public education and the arts were unfunded. Lynn brought this accredited program into schools and situations where they didn't have formal art education taking place. We made a way for those students to excel through their art! It's not just a program...it's a place to belong, to grow, and move forward while creating!

Healing and Growing through Art

Meet Lynn:

Lynn Soles is a renowned portrait artist and the author of "Don't Die Ugly," a memoir detailing her first year battling cancer and navigating care. Lynn has taught numerous art students, inspiring many to pursue careers in their passions. She also owns "Permanent Beauty," a med spa in Clayton, where she skillfully provides services such as permanent classic makeup, scar revisions, hair simulations, areola reconstruction, and more. She is happily married to her soulmate Chris and enjoys being a grandmother.
